We exist to glorify God by making passionate growing disciples of Jesus Christ proclaiming the salvation that is offered in Him until He returns.
While the history of High Point is in ways unique to our founding, in all actuality, the history of High Point transcends centuries. We believe that the church is tied to the history of the world!
OUr beliefs

At CREATION, God made the world and us as human beings to live in his perfect world under his loving rule.

However, mankind (we) chose to reject God and go our own way placing ourselves and this world under God’s judgment in a state of guilt and BROKENNESS.

Yet, because of His great love God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us on the cross and earn for us REDEMPTION from the penalty of sin that we all deserve for rejecting God.

God has promised through Jesus to bring about RESTORATION to this world one day to exercise justice on all those who in sin and evil continue to resist Him. Yet, calls on his followers to spread his saving news to all the world.
our history
High Point Baptist Chapel was established in 1960 when several families from Northern Philadelphia felt led to start a church in the southern corner of Berks County, Pennsylvania. They purchased an old property known as High Point Farm and began holding services in its hayloft. The congregation later built its first church building in 1965.
In 1961, High Point Camp was launched as a summer ministry where children and families could hear the gospel, and in 1972 High Point Baptist Academy was founded to disciple students’ hearts toward Jesus while providing a strong academic education.
Over the years, God has blessed High Point with the opportunity to impact thousands of lives in the United States through its church, camp, and school ministries, while also reaching countless lives around the world through global missions.
